I ordered QB Simple Start to continue to do my company's basic accounting on my new Windows 7 machine. Installation was easy enough, however when trying to open my previous quickbooks 2005 file, I received an error message that the Simple Start is ONLY for 1st time users and it can not convert previous files. In order to accomplish this task, I needed Quickbooks Pro 2010. I had 60 days from date of purchase to return the Simple Start and get QB Pro. However, most, if not all, online stores will not take open software as a return, so I called Intuit to ask if they would take the return back and mail me the new software. Instead, the customer support specialist said I can upgrade online. That sounded great, however it cost an additional $100.

All in all, the install was fine, however I ended up being on the phone w/ support for about 90min and paying overall $182 for QB Pro 2010 instead of the $140 I could have paid if I just Downloaded it from Amazon originally...Just a word of caution to previous QB owners.
